Society for Development of Logic and Analytic Philosophy in Bosnia and Hercegovina

MEMBERS

Dr. Sc. Nijaz Ibrulj is Professor Emeritus at the University of Sarajevo. He specializes in logic, analytic philosophy, methodology of sciences and social ontology. He is the founder and president of Academia Analitica, a society for the development of logic and analytical philosophy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also founded the first scientific incubator in Bosnia and Herzegovina (ZINK). He also founded SOPHOS, a journal for young researchers (SOPHOS). Professor Ibrulj is the founder and editor-in-chief of the online journal THE LOGICAL FORESIGHT-Journal for Logic and Science.

Dr.Sc. Muharem Avdispahić is Professor Emeritus of mathematical analysis at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Sarajevo. He has also taught courses in Philosophy of mathematics and natural sciences and History of modern mathematics. Professor Avdspahić received a honorary doctorate of science from Kingston University (UK) and Khwarizmi international award for outstanding contribution to science.

Dr.Sc. Nedzad Dukic (1957-2018), Associate Professor at the University of Sarajevo. Dr.Sc. Zikrija Avdagic is Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Department for Computing and Informatics at the University of Sarajevo. He lectures at BSc, MSc, and DSc studies covering field on Artificial Intelligence and Bioinformatics. The focus of his research are methods, and algorithms dealing with Fuzzy Computing, Neural Network Computing, Evolutionary Computation, Biomedical Engineering and Real Time Systems.

Dr.Sc. Kenan Šljivo is Professor at the University of Sarajevo. His research interests are topics in the field of epistemology, theory of knowledge, philosophy of mind, cognitive science, formal and symbolic logic and philosophy of language. He is working on the problems of infernetialism. He is member of ZINK since 2007 and editor-in-chief of SOPHOS-a young researchers’ journal. He published several articles concerning theory of knowledge, epistemology and logic. Dr.sc. Kenan Šljivo was elected Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo for the term of office 2022-2026.

Dr.Sc. Ivana Seletković obtained BA (2008) and MA (2011) degres on the Comparative Literature Department, and PhD degree (2016) on the Sociology Department at the Faculty of Philosophy – University of Sarajevo. She publishes papers (literary critics, essays, poetry) in jurnals in Bosnia and Hercegovina, Republic of Croatia, and Republic of Serbia. She is interested in the fields of Sociology of Culture, Sociology of Art, Socology of Music, Comparative Literature, and Social Phenomenology. Ivana Seletkovic is recognized as the editorial board memeber of International Journal of Education, Culture and Society ( IJECS ).

Dr.Sc. Vedad Muharemović is Professor at the University of Sarajevo. His scientific interests are in the fields of Classical and Contemporary Sociological theories, Contemporary Sociology, Social Philosophy, Theories of Nationalism, Contemporary Philosophy. He is a coordinator of ZINK, the first Bosnian scientific research incubator, member of ESA Social Theory Research Network and an executive editor of the SOPHOS journal. Published book: The Modernity of Nationalism. Edited by Academia Analitica (2019).

Katarina Bošnjak is a PhD candidate at University of Sarajevo, with research interest in field of urban design and spatial planning, border studies and social phenomenology. She works as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Sarajevo, and takes membership in organization team of the festival Days of Architecture Sarajevo and Association of Architects of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AABH).

Dr. Sc. Tijana Okić obtained PhD (philosophy) in 2021 at Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa (Italy) and MA (philosophy ) in 2011 at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo. She is a member and researcher of ZINK, a scientific and research incubator. She is focused on interdisciplinary approach primarily aiming towards critical understanding of social identity formation(s). Research interests: ethics, axiology, political philosophy, social ontology, social epistemology, particularly problems related to body, bodyness and identitary embodiment.

Dr.Sc. Tomislav Tadić is Associate Professor at the University of Sarajevo. He obtained his PhD degree in Sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, Sociology Department, in 2019. His research interests are topics in the field of sociology of religion, anthropology of religion and contemporary sociology. He is a member of ZINK (scientific research incubator) and editorial board of the SOPHOS journal.

Dr.Sc. Kerim Sušić is obtained his PhD degree in Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb in 2017. He is a member of ACADEMIA ANALITICA – Society for Development of Logic and Analytic Philosophy since 2007. His research interest is in the filed of islamic philosophy.He is a member of ZINK (scientific research incubator) and the member of editorial board of the SOPHOS journal. He published several articles concerning islamic philosophy.

Dr.Sc. Jelena Gaković is Professor at the University of Sarajevo. Her research interests are in the field of applied and critical sociology, cultural studies, sociology of politics, urban studies and economic sociology. She is a member of ZINK and editorial board of journal Sophos. Jelena is the leader of the Scientific and Research Incubator (ZINK) at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo.

Dr.Sc. Tatjana Žarković obtained MA (sociology) at the University of Vienna, and PhD (sociology) at the University of Sarajevo. She working as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, Deptm. of Sociology, University of Sarajevo . Her research interests are in the field of gender studies, critical theory, cultural studies, migrations research and qualitative and quantitative social research methods. She is a member of ZINK (scientific research incubator) and editorial board of the SOPHOS journal.

Karlo GARDAVSKI (MA) obtained MA degree in Philosophy on the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo. His research intrests are Analytic Philosophy, Logic, Philosophy of Language, Philospohy of Mind, Epistemology and Philosophy of Science. Karlo Gardavski is a doctoral student at the University of Zagreb (Croatia).
